And the Golden Globe Goes to…..


Sama sekali tak menyangka Minggu  16 Januari 2011 malam, film dari Denmark bertajuk In A Better World memenangkan golden globe untuk kategori Best Foreign Language Film. Ditambah lagi kemenangan Paul Giamatti yang diluar dari prediksi pada kategori Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical berkat penampilannya di Barney’s Version. Selebihnya, Golden Globe dapat mudah ditebak apalagi untuk kemenangan The Social Network dengan empat golden globes termasuk Best Picture dan Best Director untuk David Fincher. Pada malam itu juga Natalie Portman yang anggun dengan gaun merah jambu berornamen mawar didadanya berhasil melanjutkan ‘aksi sapu bersih’ –nya pada kategori Best Actress untuk penampilan briliannya di Black Swan. Sementara geli sekali mendengar Colin Firth melakukakan acceptance’s speech –nya yang serius saat memenangkan Best Actor wilayah drama berkat The King’s Speech. Kemenangan mutlak pula bagi The Fighter di wilayah aktor pendukung, karena Melissa Leo memenangkan Best Supporting Actress, sementara Christian Bale untuk Best Supporting Actor. Di ranah komedi/musikal, tentunya kemenangan The Kids Are All Right pada film terbaik bukan lagi sebuah kejutan, melirik pesaing-pesaingnya yang hanya sebagai penyemarak saja. Menengok untuk Best Television Series-Drama keluar nama ‘Broadwalk Empire, dan tentu saja Glee tetap menjawarai Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. Malam itu Golden Globe begitu semarak dengan kekonyolan Ricky Gervais sebagai host, ooh betapa tertawanya saya ketika dirinya meluconi the Tourist atau bahkan Bruce Willis yang dia perkenalkan sebagai Asthon Kutcher’s dad.
