Tinggal menghitung hari saja perhelatan akbar 84th Academy Awards akan diselenggarakan Minggu malam, 26 Februari 2011 bertempat di Kodak Theatre waktu Los Angeles. Menjadi kebanggan bagi saya dapat menonton keseluruh nominator di kategori prestisius Best Picture Oscar 2012 kali ini. Oscar menjadi puncak dari musim penghargaan sinema dunia, yang pada dasarnya tak lain Hollywood-tasted. Memang kurang greget jika tidak ikut-ikutan untuk menebak siapa yang bakal menggenggam piala Oscar dan memberikan speech monumentalnya. Jika kalian benar-benar mengikuti awal musim penghargaan dmulai, maka tidak akan kaget mendapati film bisu bertajuk “The Artist” itu digadang-gadang menjadi frontrunner kuat Oscar untuk meraih gelar Best Picture. Kemudian disusul oleh “Hugo” film 3D pertama milik Scorsese itu. Ah, memang gampang-gampang susah untuk memprediksi siapa yang menang. Namun bukannya yang meleset dari prediksi itu yang lebih menyenangkan, mengharukan dan mengesalkan. Berikut prediksi saya:
